It’s easy to create your REINZ Local Suburb Guide in HomePrezzo. Here’s a step by step guide.
Step 1: Login to HomePrezzo and go to your dashboard.
You’ll see the Local Suburb Guide dashboard button (as more content becomes available in HomePrezzo, you’ll see more buttons appear on this section of the dashboard) Click that button.
Type an interesting title for your report. You don’t have to do this, but this is the text that will appear in your social media tile if you decide to share your report online.
Check your privacy settings. If you intend to share the report on social media or on your website or emails, make sure it’s set to Public.
This is also the place you decide the quality of your report. If you want to share the report online or just print it out using your office printer, leave it on the default Webbook setting. If you want to have it printed professionally, click on Professional print as this will add crop marks and increase the DPI for your printer.
It’s time to select your suburb! Start typing the name of the suburb you want to create your guide for. HomePrezzo is connected to the REINZ API so names will start to appear. If you can’t see the suburb you want, check your spelling! Highlight the suburb you want to use.
You can also check the status of the data that will appear in the report by clicking the View Suburb Stats button.
Double check your colour. Your colour should default from the selection you have made in your branding and profile section in the Settings of HomePrezzo. In this report, some of the headlines and emphasis sections will appear in the colour you choose. You can type in the HEX colour into the Primary box by selecting the Custom button. You can then match it to your official brand, rather than guessing.
Next, you need to pick your recent sales. HomePrezzo will default to Auto Sales but if you want to manually choose your sales to personalise your report even further, click on the dropdown and select the Pick Sales button. If photos are missing in your suburb, this is a good way to make sure your photo looks the best it can be.
Once you do this, it will take you to the Recent Sales selection panel.
The template fits six recent sales to a page. If possible, choose 12 sales as this will ensure your guide has an even number of pages. You can see your property count in the top right hand of the panel.
Next, you have the option of editing the final piece of text that appears in the editorial section on page 3 of the report.
You can change this text to whatever you want. Just make sure it’s no longer than 400 characters. If you make no changes here, the default text as seen above will appear.
This is where the text will appear.
The next step gives you the option to change the cover image.
Click on the image to open up the Image Selection menu. You can choose one of the stock images, or upload your own. We recommend uploading a JPG file (make sure it’s not a jfif or newer file type as they tend to be buggy. Also note you CANNOT upload a PDF file). Hint: if you have a photo of life in your suburb, this can make a great cover image that really helps you ‘own’ the area.
From here, you’re nearly done. Click Next and HomePrezzo will build your report. Just a note here - there’s a lot of tech going on in the background so please be patient as it can take a couple of minutes (which when you’re looking at a screen seems like ages!) Now is a great time to make a quick cup of tea!
Proof your report by flicking through the pages. Once you’re happy, click Next and you’ll come to the menu that lets you download or share your guide with your audience.
If you’d like to use your report inside your email or social media marketing, you can copy the link for email and it will show the report within a landing page.
If you want to embed the report on your website, copy the wire frame code and share it with your website manager.
Note: If you have opted to create a professionally printed report, you’ll get an additional button on this menu that lets you download the report in high res.
